Project 10 - Stop Motion
Diorama
My inspiration for the stop motion project came from an artist I follow who happened to make a Paper Mario diorama in response to a contest celebrating the release of the new Paper Mario game. They also posted a link to the advert in the USA, which was filmed almost entirely in stop motion, which is pretty cool if you ask me.
Unfortunately due to sickness I did not have as much time to film this as I would have liked, nor as much time to ensure the quality of the animation. Though the set is good enough for me, I believe the models were far too small and fiddly to actually work as a fluid animation. There are too few moving pieces, leading me to believe that the animation in the advert is done using multiple models a lot more than it lets on.
